紐約尼克本季在季後賽首輪系列戰以1比4不敵亞特蘭大老鷹，球團也宣布會在季後自由市
場尋求優質控衛，也不排出將羅斯(Derrick Rose)留在陣中，其中球爸就希望兒子「球哥
」博爾(Lonzo Ball)能加盟紐約尼克。
「球哥」博爾至戴維斯(Anthony Davis)交易案中來到紐奧良鵜鶘，至今也為球隊效力兩
季，但球隊始終在季後賽邊緣徘徊，且博爾季後將成為一名受限制自由球員，有權利與其
他球隊自由交涉，但就看鵜鶘願不願意跟進報價將他續留。
《紐約郵報》就透露，鵜鶘在本季不會跟進博爾的報價，因為他們的首要目標是讓威廉森
（Zion Williamson）開心，且博爾是一位傳球優先的優質控衛，尼克非常需要這種人才
，且「球哥」本季更提升了自己的三分命中率。
尼克老闆多蘭（James Dolan）雖知道簽下「球哥」將會有球爸的場外問題，但他並不介
意，所以有很大機率會在休賽季期把博爾帶回麥迪遜花園。
